PICTURES

i got a semi descent picture even though i had my braces for five days lol!! i dont notice a lot of change but the gap looks like it closed a lot but it didnt the picture just has really bad quality. my teeth dont really hurt anymore just kinda the 4 front ones tht have the little invisable band around them that are supposed to pull them together.

I GOT MY BRACES!!!!

i got my braces:). i will upload a picture later because the picture i took has really bad quality and its dark. anyway the process didnt take as long as i thought. puting the brackets on only took about 15 minutes but haveing to use that blue light was about and extra 5 minutes. but i picked a dark blue and a kinda lighter blue but i dont like that you cant tell the diffrence.ooo and i only got my top braces im getting my bottoms in 8 weeks. and since i have a gap i have a little clear elastic thing on my 4 front teeth that is under my wire so its really hard to see. so of course they are the ones that are causing the most pain right now. i am pretty sore even though i took ibuprofen. its just a lot of pressure. im kinda scared of tommorow because i have to go to school but everyone says the second-third day is the worst and im already thinking right now hurts. so ill update on that. but other then pain im pretty good. the bracket on my last molar kept catching on to my cheek so i had to put some wax on it. ill see if i can maybe make a video about it. :)

getting my braces today!!!!!!!!!

its 10:00 and im getting my braces today at 1:00. the picture on the right is what my teeth look like without braces.and later when i come back i will post them with braces. i will tell you how they feel and everything and from now till end of my treatment everymonth i will post a picture showing you the progress.

second appointment

today i went in for my second appointment which only took about 15-20 minutes. you usually get spacers but i am not getting the metal bands on the back of my teeth. but i got a mold done which is very cold and gooey and when they take it off it pretty much sucks to your teeth. then i had to get one more x-ray of my bite. and that was all!! the nest time i go in on feb.8 i will be getting my braces :)

the consultation

i went into the orthodotist and i was very nervous and anxious at the same time. i had an idea what to expect but was not sure. i was more comfortable at my orthodontist because my sister had went there for her braces a few years ago so i am pretty familiar with the place.

what happens at the consultation:

1. you sign in and wait
   
2. they call you and take you back to get xrays
3. then after the xrays you take photos of your bite and your teeth in general
   
4. next you go into the othodontists main office
5. you review your xrays and pictures and he/she tells you everything that is wrong
6. then he/she will look in your mouth and read out all these measurements to the assistant and he/she will write them down
7. after he/she shows you all your options that you have and you and your parent will choose what type of braces you want
8. after you choose you and the assistant will go over all the financial options
9. then you schedual your next appointment
10. your done!

my next appointment is for my records so they can put me on a file and also they will make my molds also that day. that day is this coming wensday january 27, 2010 at 7:30 n the morning.
